“A life truly lived constantly burns away veils of illusion, burns away what is no longer relevant, gradually revealing our essence.”
- Marion Woodman
Are you a big-hearted, creative human with an obvious or not so obvious sensitive side navigating the profound transitions of midlife and beyond?
Maybe you’re finding yourself yearning to release unprocessed emotions and experience from earlier chapters of your life while stepping into a fuller, more embodied version of yourself. If you’re deepening your journey of recovery from disordered eating/eating disorders, redefining your relationship with your body as you age, or seeking to align your inner and outer worlds, midlife is a potent time of renewal.
Together we can embrace this transformative season, weaving meaning from your experiences and creating space for the vibrant, authentic life you deserve in this next chapter.
My approach
My approach is grounded in the belief that your body and your deepest, truest Self hold innate wisdom. Together, we’ll create a safe space to explore and honor that wisdom, allowing deeper healing, growth and transformation. Although I have many years experience as a therapist and have studied in depth a variety of healing modalities, I still believe you are the expert on your own life and healing. I draw from practices such as Somatic Internal Family Systems (SIFS), Body Trust, Embodied Recovery for Eating Disorders, and Health at Every Size (HAES). I also bring in the Enneagram, Sound Healing and Tarot for folks interested in these wisdom tools.
My focus areas
Midlife and beyond life transitions like relationship change, work change, children growing up, grief and loss
Navigating perimenopause, menopase and chronic health conditions
Processing and releasing experiences from earlier in life
Making meaning and intentional living in the second half of life
Body image, embodiment and developing body trust
Deepening into your recovery from disordered eating/eating disorders
Healing from binge eating and bulimia resurfacing in midlife or showing up for the first time
Highly-sensitive women
My vision for you:
Cultivate embodiment and a more wild and free relationship with your body
Nervous system healing to live with more resiliency, safety and connection
Greater clarity through midlife and beyond life transitions
Embrace Body Trust and body liberation
View your sensitivity as a superpower
Live life with greater intentionality
A bit about me
Like most everyone in my culture, I can be vulnerable to head-tripping and self judgmental ways of relating to myself and the world. Hiking and backpacking, yoga and Qigong, singing, dancing wildly, strength training and meditating all help me stay connected with my embodied self and listen to my quieter truths and desires.
When not in therapy with clients, I can often be found singing in the Wild Ashevillle Community Chorus, playing guitar and sharing songs with friends, giving amateur tarot readings, doing yoga nidra for a rest break, or watching scary movies. I have a celebrity crush on Pedro Pascal and I’m not afraid to show it.
