Eating Concerns & Embodiment Consultation & Supervision Group for Professionals with

Consultation and Supervision group focused on addressing eating concerns and embodiment from a trauma-informed, somatically-integrated, relationally-oriented lens.

This intimate, collaborative space offers you the opportunity to reflect on your therapeutic practice and engage with like-minded experienced professionals. You will be encouraged to share your strengths and insights as a clinician as we explore cases together.

Details:

Group meetings are on the first Friday of the month
9:30 AM - 11:00 AM
(limited to a maximum of 8 participants)

Each session includes a discussion of topics, answers to frequent questions in the outpatient level of care treatment, sharing of resources and time for an individual case consultation.

 

Topics Include

  • Concepts in Counseling

    ● Ethical practice & assessment

    ● Navigating levels of care

    ● Trauma & attachment in eating & body concerns

    ● Working with shame & accessing self-compassion

    ● Working with families and adolescents

    ● Developing skills working with the outpatient treatment team

    ● Exploring relational enactments with your clients (transference and countertransference)

  • Intersectional treatment of eating disorders

    ● Applying the polyvagal theory in the treatment of eating and body concerns

    ● Embodiment & accessing the body as a resource

    ● Applying yoga practices to create resiliency and embodiment

    ● Working with LGBTQ and non-binary populations and impact on embodiment

    ● Identifying adaptive strategies and how to support and resource

    ● Applying parts work to treating eating and body concerns

    ● Working with neurodivergent populations and application to eating and body concerns

    ● Assessing and supporting sensory seeking and sensory defensiveness in this population

    ● Doing no harm through understanding weight stigma and fatphobia

    ● Understanding the impact of systemic oppression and marginalization in people with eating disorders

    ● Developing body neutrality

    ● Self-objectification & beauty as a social justice issue

$100 per group for drop-in OR
$425 for a package of 5
