Join me for an ongoing Consultation and Supervision group focused on addressing eating concerns and embodiment from a trauma-informed, somatically-integrated, relationally-oriented lens. I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Supervisor and Certified Eating Disorder Specialist Supervisor trained in the Embodied Recovery model, and will offer support for applying this model in your practice in this group.
Each week will include discussion of topics, answers to frequent questions in the outpatient level of care treatment, sharing of resources and time for individual case consultation. Some possible consultation and supervision topics may include:
Ethical practice & assessment
Navigating levels of care
Self-objectification & beauty as a social justice issue
Embodiment & accessing the body as a resource
Applying yoga practices to create resiliency and embodiment
Developing body neutrality
Trauma & attachment in eating & body concerns
Applying the polyvagal theory in the treatment of eating and body concerns
Working with shame & accessing self-compassion
Working with families and adolescents
Working with LGBTQ and non-binary populations and impact on embodiment
Working with neurodivergent populations and application to eating and body concerns
Assessing and supporting sensory seeking and sensory defensiveness in this population
Health At Every Size principles
Doing no harm through understanding weight stigma
Identifying character strategies and how to support and resource
Applying parts work to treating eating and body concerns
Developing skills working with the outpatient treatment team
Exploring transference and countertransference with your clients
We will meet every other Tuesday, 12PM - 1:30PM

*** This group can be applied to up to 5 hours of the required 21 hours of supervision for the Certified Eating Disorder Specialist designation.
